Signs and Symptoms

Symptoms occur starting very early in a child's life. At three to six moths old, the child will start to experience muscle weakness. At six to ten months old, the child won't be meeting their motor milestones. At this time, instead of meeting the motor milestones, they will slowly decrease. At eight to ten months old,the child will begin to lose their vision. Also, around this time, they will have seizures all the time. Some other symptoms of Tay-Sachs are drooling and difficulties swallowing. The child will also have and extreme lack in the world around them. Sadly when the child is two to four years old, they will pass away from Tay-Sachs.
